My Powerbook couldn’t read DVD dual-layer discs. Therefore I couldn’t install Leopard in the first place, but I got help from another Mac. I’ve managed to install Leopard by runing the other Mac in target mode. I already bought a new DVD player on eBay. It arrived yesterday and I decided to built it in straight away. That took al little bit longer then expected. I finished around 1:00 am. That’s because you need to disassamble the entire Powerbook almost to replace the DVD-player, but I succeeded. Took me 2 hours. 🙂 The new drive is working perfectly. And it does read DVD dual layer discs. So, alltogether it was worth the effort.
